Sustainability and transferability to other countries and schools

The techniques described can be used in all European countries and can be used by schools with enough band-width to support videoconferencing. The problem we faced, too few students to provide a class, applies to many classes schools around the world. The solution we have developed is one close to the regular school setting, making use of available technologies at a fair price. Videoconferencing in itself is an expensive technology. In future we will continue to investigate cheaper alternatives, i.e. use of webcams. Up till now the webcam technologies have not been able to provide the necessary speed and clarity of images and sounds to provide real-time distance education.
Across Europe we have students in remote areas that do not receive education at a level that fits them best. This form of distance learning, situated at their own school, monitored by face to face teachers can be helpful to meet their educational needs.
